The Guys from EVGA

Today I got a nice call. And I don’t get many nice calls. Only when holding a presentation. And that’s how I received today’s call: During my presentation. A couple of minutes later, when it was over, I got another call from the same number: It was EVGA’s tech support.
Last Friday I had sent in my defect e-GeForce 8800 GTX, the one that’s not working. They were fast. The technician told me that it was running a stress test of 17 hours straight without any troubles. So we went through the possible causes: motherboard, drivers, heat… ahem…
He said that he would run the test until tomorrow and when there’s still no problem he’ll send me the thing back. Otherwise he’ll send me a new one. I agreed and asked how often cards cure on their way to the tech support. “Sometimes. Not often.” he replied and even asked me to which address I want the card back1 . Now that’s what I call a good service! They have my blessing — provided the crap works when it’s back in the SLI gallery.
Below a snapshot of the guys in charge of my GeForce at EVGA.

- I used the campus’ address as sender but wanted the card to be sent back to Graz because I’m moving out of here next week. Who would’ve thought that they are so fast? [back]
